I’m not much of a gambling man, but I’m willing to bet that that team from Pennsylvania makes it to the finals this year. Any takers? I’ll give you 10 to 1 odds. : )

Detroit/Dallas series is pretty cool too. Being from the Detroit area, I’m pulling for the Wings. However, it would be kinda cool to see Dallas go too. One of our own Steve Ott (son of boat racer Butch) plays for Dallas.

My pick: Detroit in 6; Pens in 5

          Finals: Detroit in 7

Although I hate Detriot, I gotta say it's there for the taking. I wouldn't have said that at the beginning of the playoffs but once Osgood took over the #1 spot Detroit has taken over.

Detroit looks pretty strong and really a fun team to watch their passing and control. But enjoy watching Stevie Ott on Dallas. He and Morrow had the best games. Stevie hits well, got a turnover that led to an assist on Dallas's only goal. He also had a breakaway and put the puck off the right pipe. Its always more fun to watch when you know someone playing. Stevie used to race as well until he got so good at hockey that teams wouldn't let him race anymore.

                  Stanley Cup

Seeing how my Sharks lost, it will be Red Wings over the Penguins in 5.

I was watching ESPN this morning and saw Don Cherry. It was great to see him defending the hard hitting hockey of the playoffs, since I don't get cbc down here in New England at school. But the lack of watching hockey has been worth playing collegiate hockey in the states for the last 4 years.
I'm looking forward to seeing Biron bounce back to the way he played the last 2 series. If he does the Pens and Flyers series will liven up a little.

I think the Wings are a shoe in at this point, but for some strange reason I find myself pulling for Dallas, (even though they beat my beloved Sharks).

Should be some exciting games no mater what!

I would like to see that Final! No way the wingless birds beat Red Wings. No way you can cherry pick against the wings like Malkin did agains Philly. 9 Norris trophies on the redwings defence(Lidstrom will win 6th this year.) 0 on the other 3 teams.

                              I like hockey . . .

Maybe because my lack of depth perception precluded sports from my activity menu, except hockey. I was pretty good back in the day, even played semi-pro with the Washington (DC) Chiefs for a few months until college got in the way.

But ever since the TV GreedFest expanded the season I've lost interest. Playing Ice Hockey during a season where I'm wearing a Tee and shorts and holding a chilly beer to my forehead to cool down just isn't right.
