  • Dan Koschka at Purdue Grand Prix

Team Hillenbrand is sitting on the pole for Saturday’s Purdue Grand Prix Go-Kart Race. Crew Chief Dan Koschka (42-H) and his teammates worked hard getting ready for qualifications, which obviously paid off. Their driver took third place in 2007 and the team feels confident as they look ahead to race day.

For those not familiar with it, the Purdue Grand Prix has been a campus tradition since 1958, as 33 teams compete in the 50-mile race. Proceeds go to student scholarships. Tim O'Brien, son of longtime Mod Outboard racer and champion Mike O'Brien won the race in 2002, 2003 and 2005. For more general info on the race itself, visit the Purdue Grand Prix web site.

    Good luck, Dan!
