    "I'm glad that they were able to get it done," said A.J. Foyt, the first four-time winner of the Indianapolis 500. "It'll eliminate the confusion for the race fans and the sponsors because there'll be just one type of car and one type of motor and everyone will be running together. May the best team win."

    Boat racing could learn so much from this!

      That is good news. I lost all interest in the Indy cars when they split.
      ...

      OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

        My thoughts exactly. Tony George ruined open wheel racing in North America, hopefully it can recover now. On a sour note Portland loses it's race for this year now.

          Already shopping for Richmond tickets. Also, looking for a shield to deflect all that carbon fiber that will be flying off the cars when there are 30 of those puppies flying around the track.

            There is much that the APBA could learn from this.
            An article in the Tampa Tribune said;
            "CART as a product was good, but the way it was run was all wrong, said Michael Andretti, a team owner and former driver. You just cannot have it where the competitors are running the series, because everyone has their own interest at heart. With Tony [George] all he cares about is a successful series."

            "the harder we try, the worser it gets"
