As These Post Show, There Are Not Enough Good Words To Describe What Bob Has Been To All Of Us. He Will Be Missed By All.
My Condolences To Kathy And Kevin.
Phil Doerle
I am so terribly sorry to hear about Bob. I kept watching the updates, hoping to see an improvement posting.
I was at least fortunate to see him recently at Pop Augustine's memorial. He looked so good and full of life as always, not to mention being very sharply dressed. He will be missed so much, as he was always so much fun to be around. I do not understand why we must lose such fine people way too early. I am heartsick, and don't know what else to say.
Our deepest sympathy to the Mallalieu familly at this diffucult time. May you find comfort and strength knowing his boatracing family also share your grief and will always cherish their memories of BOB.

It's hard to find the words to express our grief over loosing such a great man.
Kathy, Kevin and family please know that we are here for you, and will share in your pain as we all mourn loosing him.
All we can do now is try to remember all the good memories...
If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.

The Augustine family sends heartfelt sympathy to you, Cathy and Kevin. We all were devastated by the news of Bob's death, and, off and on, for the last 2 days, have talked about him. Some of the remembrances were funny, some poignant, but all ended with how blessed that we were to have known him. We pray that God sends you strength and comfort to help you through this sad time.

What else can be said, you are a great man that will be missed terribly. As I write this post I can here your voice in my head making some crude wisecrack and laughing, and that's how I'll remember you. Drive safe up there Bob, we'll see you someday... Greg & Heather Lyons
Cathy and Kevin the posts show just how much Bob was part of the racing family. This Family is behind you all the way. You should be proud of him.
The thoughts and prayers from the Family are with you.
Very sorry to hear we've lost another great one. Rarely do we find someone like Bob (Mr. Mallalieu to me) who have touched so many of us racers in such a way. While I did not know Bob anywhere near as well as those in the East, I will always remember such a great time with him at the St. Louis meeting in 2000. He sure was a lot of fun to be around. And what a nice man.
It is these memories that will hopefully help each of you during the healing process. Keep remembering the good times and laughter that Mr. Mallalieu bestowed on each of us.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the Mallalieu family.
Bob M. a true friend, you always had a great words of wisdom, a funny story, and a big heart. I will always remeber those days we spent talking in the pits. You will be missed. Cathy & Kevin, you have our support and condolences.

There will never be another Bob. I remember Bob from when I was a little kid starting racing. He hadn't changed a bit over the years. The boat races will not be the same without him. There was nobody like him. He was one of a kind.
You would have never guessed anything was ever wrong with Bob. He never told me he was fighting cancer. The last time I saw him he was as usual. All smiles, laughing and cracking jokes. I'm sorry to hear this. Kevin and Cathy my thoughts and prayers are with Bob and your family in these tough times.
