Tim and Linda Lee and Family
Yes! Everyone enjoy family and friends.
My wife and I drove by the Mall on the way home from church yesterday. The Parking lot was a sea of automobiles and cars were backed up down the off-ramp of the freeway.
I looked over and nodded toward the mall and asked my wife, "What is Christmas really about?" She looked, nodded and said, "Ya." Which translated means, "go into debt on your credit card and buy a bunch of stuff for other people who are doing the same thing, when you already have debt ac***ulated from the years past. So that toaster you bought 3 years ago is costing you $29.95 plus interest over 9 centuries."
Well we like giving gifts but not at the expense of our childrens future.
If you take out gift giving, office parties, decorations, football games, food to the excess, drink, presents, would people still celebrate Christmas?
They should, it is the birth of our Savior.
So sit back by the fire with your family and friends, have a cup of hot chocolate, reflect on your blessing in the past year and talk about the dreams and aspirations for the future, and thank God in heaven you are blessed abundantly far beyond most people in this world and that his son, Jesus Christ has come to redeem you.
