  • www.youtube.com addiction

I don't spend much time on www.youtube.com for fear that I might become addicted. But tonight after finishing all pertinent tax returns and the FAFSA renewal application for my daughter in college, I decided to celebrate. I went to www.youtube.com and typed in "hydroplane" and here's what I found:

    If this link works...

It is J Michael Kelly last year blowing over and nearly taking out the Oberto boat.

    Real interesting footage.

      Tip of the iceberg...

Once you set up a user acount, you can subscribe to certain other user's submitted videos. And you can also subscribe to "key words" such as "hydroplane", or "kyotei". And you can save videos in your favorites folder.
I have the most fun with the search engine, just fishing around with key words. A couple things I learned: "boat racing" is some kind of drinking game. And "motorboating" is...

      I swear I didn't know that!

"Motorboat" used in the youtube context above was a term when I was a rowdy college boy, which was shortly after Edison fired up the first light bulb. In opposition to "motorboat" was "windshield wiper." The two terms related to the size of the targets, as in "motorboat" for substantial cleavage, and "windshield wiper" (sound *tsk-tsk-tsk-tsk*) for a more diminutive display of cleavage.

Of course since I attended a "fine Baptist college" I was never involved in such hedonistic activities . . . (ducks lightening strike)
