  • Inboard Racing: The Lucky Shot

    I went to Lake Sammamish last weekend to shoot 3 days of Inboard racing. Beautiful weather and great fall conditions added up to some great shots.

    Josh Culver lost the skid fin off his 1 Litre Mod right in front of me. Here's the action, and the mayhem that ensued thereafter when his boat slid out into the roostertail in front of him. I would have got the entire blowover sequence, but a nervous turn judge dropped the green flag on my lens and knocked my camera out of position. Still, I got the takeoff...but not the landing.

      Both good. Boat was fixed and raced the next day.
