  • Silverlake WA (Castle Rock) Pics Posted!

Here's shots from Saturday's racing action:

    http://smu.gs/IKzwHM

As a point of geographical clarification after the fact, Kyle was informed by our resort hosts that the event did not take place in Castle Rock; the actual host municipality is officially Silverlake (one word), WA.

All I know is that it really was a great place to race!

Sunday pics weren't posted yet, but it was about 70 degrees and clear skies. Enough to have the active volcano in the background pop its head out! It was a perfect boat race day in the NW thats for sure.

Glad you guys got some good weather..........bet the volcano was cool to see. At Taber City all we had for nature watching were water moccasins and an occasional gator cruising up the lake!!.....all good in the south!!

That was Aaron "Fish" Salmon. He was unhurt, but his mother was not pleased....

who is 44R? The is the Bezots kit that I built for Joe Johnson. geez 12 years ago. I need to speak with him about his setup. He needs to tuck the motor under 5/8 of an inch.

Yes, Bill, same boat. From Joe, to us, to the Peterson's, now to John Maroney.

I wouldn't worry about John & the set-up. He is a very experienced & knowledgeable racer. He was trying some different things regarding boat set-up at this race. Give him time Bill, as he knows Yamato hydro set-ups, given he set a CMH competition record at Lawrence Lake last year & is one of the fastest OSY-400 racers in our region also.
