      Hi Dan, I got a new Nikon D90. Much better camera for this kind of stuff. I also take my Sony when I travel and for family stuff.

          Video?

          Did you try any video with the Nikon D90? I've been very curious about how that would perform for boat racing...

            I have a D90 - love it for stills. I didn't buy it with the intent to use the video feature at all. I have played with it on a few occasioins at home.
            Being manual focus it makes it a bit of a trick at times, also has a tendancy to get like jello effect when panning and such at times, i think that is mostly settings though. I've seen people get fantastic results online, so the potential would be there.
