            George "LUNCH" Luce.

Thank You, for feeding most of the pits each and every day. Pizza, subs, chicken, watermellon, wings, etc. I believe the line I heard most from him was..."here hold this" (as he turns arround and walks away)

              Well mine is pretty easy.

I spent two days with Jon Steen and Carl Lewis rebuilding Corey Peabody's D-Stock boat for the final on Saturday after he got hit on Thursday in the last elimination heat.

Thanks again for the Pizza Mercguy! and all the people (you know who you are) who came by later in the evening to check on us and see if we needed anything. And even hung out and chatted with us to keep us on track.

And for all those who said we couldn't do it. Well we did it, and you saw it run in the final.

Thanks to Mr Hemp for watching us and laughing with us during the process, and being the first to congratulate us after our final heat victory!

How about when we got kicked out of the parking lot the first night there. It was still two nights before testing!! Of course Eddie takes charge, and politely tells everyone to "Get the f*ck out!!!!!" I think he repeated that line a few more times that week as we got booted out of a couple more places at closing time!!!! I couldn't believe us boat racers actually closed down a bar for once.

The best thing about this trip really was how good a job SOA did of putting on a nationals. Especially considering that this was the first Reg. 10 Nationals in about 40 years. Kudos to all of you, I will be back next time. Also, thank you so much to George Luce for the great lunches everyday, and for letting Abby and I crash in your room. We both went up there with no place to stay, and you really came through for us. You would be hard pressed to find a better guy at the races than George. LUCE IS FAST!!!!!!!

Let me also add a special thanks to someone most of you dont know, Gerry Maurer. Thanks so much for the truck, the floor in the back was the best rest I got all week!!!!

I would like to congratulate all those who were last standing the last night at the nationals. I think Rick and Davey were there(although Davey took a little nap around 3) and whoever else. I passed right out and should have been there. I was going for 3 stock nationals in a row, last man standing, and this year I got beat. Uncle Tim, Dad, and I all won the last two nats., but you guys better watch out, cause I'm going testing for next year. I'm gonna be drinking days after you guys leave!!!!!!
