  • Telegraph Wire must be down

Has there been any changes or possible changes to the PRO Rules including safety from this last National Meeting?

Think you are mistaken about the technology??

    Hi Bill:

I did not know that the telegraph was in use yet. I thought it was still signal mirrors, and the reason for the delay in your area was all the clouds in the midwest lately, preventing the signals from being transmitted from the left coast to your area.

Just goes to show I have not been keeping up with the latest technological innovations since my retirement.

      Black Hole

Region 14 is like a black hole. Very little information gets in or gets out. Still looking for what ever information is about.

Hey Bill, I see you have one of those dreaded RED Marks too.

            regards my "red mark"

As Jack Nicholson so famously said in a movie about a Marine courts- marshall some years ago, "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth"!

If I get a red mark for "the truth", (and NOTHING I have ever posted on this site has been anything but) then I hope it never changes color. With all the talk about "change" these days, I guess political correctness is also in favor. Thats too bad, as uninformed or mislead folks sometimes make bad decisions, no matter that their motives may be the best. It is for the best that the folks subject to those same decisions, know all of the facts possible, whether the facts are pleasant or not.

There has yet to be any proof, or even any argument, that whatever I have said on this forum about various subjects has been anything but truthful and/or factual. If that gets me a "red mark",so be it.

Red Mark? Looks like 'the RED badge of courage' to me. Since it appears, that I/moi have been placed "on a distinguished road", I guess all my shameful behavior in lives gone-by has yet to be un-earthed. Probably just as well. However, with limited time left, I am making some renewed efforts.

                  Questions

a motion that we take a one-year sabbatical from TV. Motion passed with two opposed
So no TV from Depue for 2009?

Tom C made a motion (Bill T second) to revise the rounded picklefork rule to make it mandatory for all hydroplanes, existing as well as new construction, except for KPH utilizing the UIM drawing. Motion failed (2 for, 2 abstentions).
I thought rules of order called for a motion to pass if there were 2 for and none opposed, regardless of abstenstions; that abstensions were not votes and could not tie with fors or opposeds. Were there 2 or more opposeds that were not recorded and/or not transcribed?

At the next meeting this should be reviewed and corrected before the minutes are approved, regardless of it being an error in procedure or an error in transcription of the minutes.

                    Sam:

We all voted, most were against, 2 were for it, and 2 abstained. There were about 11 of us at the table, so that would make 7 NO votes.
