Lake Placid Winter/Spring Races

The Highland Outboard Racing season will start on Nov 24,25 2007.
There will be 3-heats of racing Sat and 3-heats of racing Sun. That's Three races in Two Days. We will run anything that shows, everyone is welcome. Camping available per request. Surveyed 3/4 mile,5 buoy turns record course.

Heading out

We are loaded up and heading out at 9:00. Should be there by noon.

The once a month deal is great. Gives the racers a place to run, and also gives the locals something to see every month. Some locals may get used to watching every month and catch the racing bug!

A guy stopped yesterday to look at the boats that were outside. He wants to put something together really soon. I told him about the Lake Placid mind set and he is very interested in coming down. The guy lives a mile away from me and we never met and never knew each other had boats and motors. He saw Nic's stuff here a few weeks ago and saw our hydros outside so he stopped. We hope to get him involved real soon! He is interested in the Mini Most project as well as BSR, and possibly CSR.
