Great Racing this weekend. Yesterday and today had beautiful weather to race in. After all was said and done only 2 drivers got wet this weekend. In C Hydro, Me and Jack Stotts went into the last turn coming to the checkerd flag, and he was right there on my tail. He drove the boat in a little too hard and got chunked out. Then today in E Hydro, Jason Sumrall was doing everything he could to catch David Woodell, and was tossed out on the last lap of the heat. I am not sure of the results as of yet so i am sure that we will see them posted soon. Everyone who wasnt here missed out on some great racing and good weather conditions.

AOF National
John M. certainly did an excellent job driving. Like all Nationals we had some jumpers so the results in some of the classes could have brought the likes of David W and Burt H to the top who had their stuff screaming. Not to take away from the others, for it was very close competition. We couldn't have had better weather. Sunshine and a light breeze everything a racer could wish for. I'd like to thank the Starons, David G., John S., Rayburn D., Jack S., Mark J.,Rev. Bill and everyone involved, especially the kids and ladies Linda and Tina who made my job easier. This was David G's last race which sadden me. David has contributed a lot to boat racing and will be missed as he will now back his boy in car racing. What we lacked in numbers was made up in quality. For those who came, you put on an excellent show and to those who couldn't make it you missed excellent weather and great competition.

Congrats
To all who particpated.
Ralph... you could have been the first person in history to complete the Trifecta in boat racing.... dam 50 cent spring in Zanesville anyways....
Sumerall... didn't you jump out in Centrallia as well ?
I can attest, AOF drew some of the fastest SEH (FEH) in the country. Cook in my opinion is the fastest in the entire country, barr nobody. I have won against just about everyone at least once except Ralph.
Wish I could'a been there......... weather here was to freaking hot anyways.... in the 90's is unheard of in MI this time of year.Dave Mason

Sumerall didn't jump. He won the first heat of E Hydro.
I should have won both heats but got a terrible start the first heat and finished second. I hit a buoy while leading the second heat.
Edit: You said jump out. I don't know about Centralia, but he did go out at Alex.Last edited by David_L6; 10-08-2007, 01:36 PM....

Yes, we had a light turnout but I think everyone had a good time thanks to Carl and Tony Staron. Those two did a great time in making it all work. It was good to have Rusty Bonan riding herd on us. Don't forget the Snells for their inspection program as aided by Rayburn. Thanks guys!
I had a great time and it was great to meet some new folks in our midst. Look for some new racers next season. Dave and Linda Nichols from Sanger, Texas were there getting things in order for a great entry into next season. Dave, who some of you have met, is returning to boat racing after a long layoff. He'll be a very welcome addition if we can just keep Burt from influencing him too much.Last edited by Jack Stotts; 10-08-2007, 06:21 PM.
