2006 AOF Eastern Short Course Nat'ls. will be October 21st. and 22nd. at Lake Placid, Florida.

All AOF classes will run. B1 Hydro, OSY 400, 25XS Hydro, and B Runabout will run for points only.

Note:

The original AOF East Coast Nationals were in Long Island, NY. Unfortunately, only 4 classes could be run. The club, EORC tried in vain to give AOF points at Thompson.
So, to make sure the AOF Eastern Championships are run in all classes, the remaining classes will be run at the race in Lake Placid, FL.
You will be able to run on either the 2006 racing membership, or pay part or all of your 2007 membership at this race.
This is a great site and a lot of fun. All Stock, mod and Pro classes are eligivle except: B1 Hydro, OSY 400, 25XS Hydro, and B Runabout

Guidelines for Lake Apthorp (Lake Placid)

"DO NOT" for any reason enter the orange grove at any time.
"NO" Camping in pit area or race site.
"NO" Open containers of alcoholic beverages at any time.
"NO" Off road vehicles allowed at race site.
"NO" running of motorsbefore 10AM weekdays, Noon Sunday.
"NO" running of motors after 5PM Saturday, 4PM Sunday.
"NO" testing without signed release and manned pickup boat present.
All fuel tanks must be filled in "DRY PIT" area.
Fishermen will always be given courtesy and right of way.

The race is definitely happening. Carl and Tony are pulling some weeds this morning and mowing.
Lake Placid races are a place to go, race, have fun, no politics. It is a beautiful setting. I hope you all take advantage of this race site as at the end of the year the points will be added up for races here and something surprising could come of it.
I also talked to Tony about your need for a Xlarge cut suit. He has one for your friend.
I am also attaching a new flyer for the race. The first one was kind of negative, with too many don'ts. We changed it around a bit to be mroe postitive as this is a very happy and positive race site.
Entry fees are $20 first class, $15 for second, $10 for third, and $5 for rest. AOF dues can be paid in payments of whatever you an afford, or $25 each until completely paid.
