    Proposal: Allow sierra pistons .015 and .030 in 44xs motors

    Rational: They are OEM direct fit

    Approve Disapprove


    Proposal: Allow remanufactured recoil housings on 44xs

    Rational: Stock housings are weak and new Mercury housing need to be modified to fit motor

    Proposal: Allow IKO Bearings to be used in 44xs lower units

    Rational: Legalize bearings currently being used

    Proposal: There will be no modification allowed to the entire Mercury 44xs Racing Flywheel

    Rational: It has been found that some drivers are altering timing by remanufacturing flywheel

    Proposal: Only the factory Mercury stator to factory specification be allowed on 44xs

    Rational: some reconditioned stators have been altered to improve acceleration

    Note : For inspection the updated stator is a two pole version only, which does not have the full ring of poles. the Rapair factory replacement number is 174-5454K1 which is open winding all around but a full ring of poles.
