      John,
I asked for and recieved a copy of the 80 race. I am not sure what you mean by "not sure what is going on", but you can always ask and find out. I am thinking that maybe you may have asked at the race site during a racing situation. Believe me, the scorers have their hands full, and with and if everyone comin up asking for official finishes, incorrect information can go out. And again, we always have to wait for inspections. I know that as you continue to race, you will find that many just plain blame scoreres and officials. My motto is, what the heck, its just a race and it's just for fun! And,,,,thank you thank you thank you to those who give their time to be officials at our races. That does not mean mistakes can't happen. We just have to fix them when they do. Unfortunately, AOF has a policy that if a race is not protested within an hour of the finish of the day, then everything stands as is. None of this calling commissiones, etc later. Truthfully, I think this is a good policy.
Here are the finishes and points taken from the score sheet
Note: fial points are doubled for a nationals)
      Alex Kincaid 5 (127) 7th (71) =7th (396)
      Dean Suthrland Jumped gun (0) 2 (300) = 5 (600)
      Bryan Tharp 1 (400) Dns (0)= 3 (800)
      Rick Miller 2 (300) 3 (225) = 1 (1050)
      Fred Schmidt Jumped gun (0) 4 (169) = 8 (338)
      William Tetro Jumped Gun (0) 1 (400) = 2 (800)
      John Mathews 3 (225) 5 (127) = 4 (704)
      Justin Weaver 4 (169) 6 (95) = 6 (528)
Fastest speeds of the day (even in bad weather were:
Bryan Tharp 52.9 mph, Dean Sutherland 51.777, Rick Miller, 51.06, William Tetro, 53.892 Your fastest time was 47,830 mph. not bad for a rookie!
      Keep up the good work.
      Tony
