  • Tony in Accident-another one

I recieved a call from the hospital in W Palm Beach today. It was a nurse calling to say that Tony Staron had been hurt after being rear ended by a speeder while he was delivery mail on his route. Apparantly he was stopped at a mailbox when hit. He was taken by ambulance where he is undergoing tests. His parents are still without electricity and phone service so I guess I was the lucky one to get the call and have to worry. The nurse did let me talk to him between tests and he seems in pretty good spirits even though he said he is in extreme pain. I asked if he was hurting in the same areas in which he was hurting from his accident at Whitney Point and he said that "these are new pains in places he really never knew he had." He was then wisked away for more tests and the nurse said she would call again later. So far I have heard nothing more, but will keep you informed as I do.

Do you expect us to believe that?!

Tell us the truth now.... What really happened is that Tony got caught messin' around with a married woman, isn't it?

Tony wrecked @ the point and has several bruised ribs, along with the normal bumps, bruises, scrapes, pulled muscles etc. I spoke with him last night on the phone and he was still in allot of pain.

Tony will be seeing spine specialists in the next few days. He is in extreme pain, but it looks like his injuries should be able to be fixed. When I talked to him this morning his biggest fear was not the surguries he will be going through but the fear that the doctors will tell him he cannot race again. I told him to not think about that right now. Time heals a lot. He said he has to race at least one more time because he cannot go out with a crash. Mercguy, he said to tell you his lower unit came loose at the nationals. That explains his spin.
I also asked Tony what he would be doing with all his spare time and he said he would be preparing his strategy for running against Steve Hearn for APBA president! The nurse interruted just then to give him another shot of morphine. Thank goodness.
Tony said that as for AOF, Rod Black is in charge. Rod is from Spokane and is the AOF competition VP. Rod can still be reached at: PresidentofAOF@aol.com as this is an AOF email.
Tony asked that he no get any calls for the next few days. It hurts to reach for his phone, and also, he is not sure of what he is saying because of the pain medicine. He then told me to use his check book to buy myself flowers and some for Pamela Anderson whom he was having a date with this evening. .....Go back to sleep Tony.

Tony in the hospital in Florida

Hello Connie: The next time you talk to Tony please let him know the Brewsters are thinking of him and to get well soon. When it rains it pours I guess. Jack and I were in inspection at Whitney Pt. when Tony dumped his AMR, he was complaining of right arm pain when they brought him in, plus other pains here and there. Now he has an accident while working. Can you please post an address we can send Tony a card, either at the hospital or wherever? Thanks, Joan Brewster - Brewster Race Team, Ravenna Twp., OH.
