Dave, From the talks last weekat the Point, it sounds like the AOF nationals in October is the best thing we've done al year. Everyone is talking about this race. And why not,,,,it is on the most beautiful lake for racing as well as spectating. And the weather in Louisianna in October-PERFECT! Maybe none of those red ants either! I am sure all the AOF regulars will be there too. I am going to post last years nationals winners who will automatically be qualified for each classs. Stay tuned. Get vacation time, and come and enjoy.
Remember, all cards will be honored. Or, better yet, if you want to join AOF (still the best kept secret in boat racing), then you can join for following year at a reduced price.
Many are helping with this race to make it a success. The Snells from Texas, Carters, Heberts, Guadagnolis and many more. Can you tell I'm pumped? And maybe I will be healed up by then and even I can actullly race and finish dry.
    Tony Staron, AOF Prez
PS. AOF includes all stock, mod and PRo classes with a very good step up chart so that everyone runs and gets points.

Tony- What was the extent of your injury. I did not hear from anybody your condition before we left Whitney Point. Also Bryan Tharp and I are considering coming down to Alex for good racing and good food. Dave Mason we would love to see you come down to Alex and Tunk's. I would think Ralph, Burt and the gang will be there.

        Hi Rick,
Thanks for asking about me. I am all bruised up!!!! Have a bruised kidney and ribs and arm and everything. In other words: I hurt. Even worse than after the Marathons. We tested and tested our set up and had a good one. Lower unit came loose. Makes one realize that you need to check and double check and take nothing for granted.
I am having a heck of a time gettig home. Was with Jon Palmquist for a while. Late planes. Overnight stay in strange area. Eary planes we missed. I am now, in get this: Dallas! Waiting at airport for a flght to W. Palm Beach. I am thinking the hurricane has something to do with it. Who knows, maybe I'll end up in Seatte before its over. If anyone is near Dallas airport, com and see me. I hear I will be here until about 4 this afternoon. I guess this gives me a chance to catch up on computer work.
Just for the record: I did not get hooked up with a stewardess and ended up from NY to Dallas. I hurt to bad to even consider it.
See you in Pineville, Rick. Maybe you can be the AOF national champ.
        Tony

          step up chart?

How can one view the pro step up chart or what the schedule is for the race?
Speed costs money. So, how fast do you want to go?

One "should" be able to go to the AOF website of
            Americanoutboardfederation.com
and get the step up chart.
However, I am having trouble getting there. Maybe it is this connection in the airport, or maybe it is the dang website. I am not sure why anyone needs a website whehn Dan has he best website here. I think we will just s*&^ can our website and give Dan the money.
Let me find the step up chart in my briefcase or on this computer and post it next.

Is the race at Pineville, LA on 9 and 10 Oct the AOF Nationals that many are talking about? The schedule on the AOF web site does not mention it being the AOF Nationals.

AOF Nationals is October 9 and 10. Testing on Friday before and some of us (mailmen) have Monday off for Columbus day.
This will be a RECORD course for 3 mile. (3 lap of one mile each). Many records are going to be retired this year as they have held for ten years. Will be a chance for your name in the record book.
BTW. Congrats Jack. Way to go!
                          Entry fees will be:
$20 first class, 15 second, and 10 third.
                          All cards are honored.
                          See you there.
                          Tony

Since I did not make Whitney point I got some vacation I might be able to use for Pineville...

Rick, Tunks at Alex, it does not get much better than that !!!!!
