  • AOF Nationals - Moses Lake

Just a quick reminder that the AOF Nationals are being held this weekend in Moses Lake, Washington. Testing will be held on Friday, between 10am and 5pm. Nationals will be run on Saturday, with the blow off day set for Sunday. If the Nationals are run on Saturday, we'll be running a "fun" race on Sunday. Additional fees may apply. Campsites should still be available.

The name of the race site is Cascade Campground and it is part of the Moses Lake Parks and Recreation department. The web address is http://www.mlrec.com/camping.html

The phone number 509-766-9240 and Fax is 509-766-9243. They also said that this is there slow time so they still had a good selection of sites as of about a month ago.

The RV sites have power and water for $25.00 a night. Tent sites are $20.00 and have water.

Typical classes being run include Y80, 102, D/E stock, E Mod, SE and 1100. It also looks like we'll have a class for 350's, and more. You bring it, and we'll run it.

The host club, SLORA, will be accepting AOF, APBA and NBRA club memberships to run, but will be required to join SLORA ($15). If you want to run for a National Title, you will need to pay for a full AOF ($75) memebership.

Additional information on this weekends race can be found on the AOF Website. Visit http://www.aofracer.com/. Post your questions here and we'll reply just as soon as we can. Hope to see you all there.

Feel free to let us know if you're coming, and tell us what you're bringin'

      AOF Nats.

Were coming over from the west side with a CMH hoping to run with some more pipe motors. Will you have a J class?

John, Yes there will be at least one other true "J" there that i know of off the top of my head, and even if there is only two of them, they will still run no matter what.

            Working on it...

just started pulling my stuff off the camera. I'll get a link here as soon as I can but shaping up to be a very busy week.

Friday testing, weather was great... unfortunately we were blown off the water on Saturday (a rarity I hear at this site). Even with a forecast that looked same to worse, the weather held enough get nationals run on Sunday (We think that Terry Fiorelli was just letting us know his displeasure in not being able to attend... thanks for letting us put a little "Smoke on the Water" Sunday Terry!!)

I will leave the results posting to the officials.

Not Official, just what I remember off the top of my head

              Y80- John Peters
              CMH- John Maroney
              DSH- Kurt Meyers
              DMH- Corey Peabody
              SEH- Andy Furlott
              Pro Hydro- Josh Harnack

I also think John Peters won either OSY or CSH, maybe both not sure exactly what classes he was running, but he was fast as usual. I think it was partly due to the new fancy gray primer paint! It made those boats look like true missiles on the course.
