Rooms are available at the Days Inn in Winter Haven, FL - about 25 minutes from Lakeland. Go to www.raceforthekids.org and news and events tab to select the Days Inn logo to register.

And 10 - 15 mins depending on traffic & all the lights to the motel. I just spent 5 nights at the hotel. Not the greatest but a good value for the price. Be sure to wear socks or shoes in the rooms as the carpet needs to be cleaned. Maybe the race chairman can ask them to do that in the block of rooms reserved for the racers.

It's my understanding that Mr. Schubert did not stay in the block of rooms that has been reserved for Race for the Kids/US Title Series Race in Winter Haven, FL.
