It is my view that the dear was keeping his lane and the trailer crossed over into to the dear lane and should be DQ'd for bearing away.

The neat(?) thing about racing of any sort is the inevitable "We never broke one of those before". This ranks up there with the tree falling on Thirlby's (?) trailer at Depue a few years ago. At least Dave could easily fix this with racer's tape and make the race. How about a few pairs of deerskin driving gloves? It looks like this makes for a great story but really didn't break anything critical. Hope it didn't slow Dave down at all.Comment
