A kamikaze dear scored a direct hit and landed in the trailer right on top of my B runabout.

Looks like the perfect opportunity to add to the taste of the regions. Glad everyone is OK.

That must have been one fast dear. What class did it run?

Can you say "New boat cover!" or you have an official team mascot.

                Choping in the turn

It is my view that the dear was keeping his lane and the trailer crossed over into to the dear lane and should be DQ'd for bearing away.

                Opps wrong thread.

That would have been an early Christmas present for Simmons!

The neat(?) thing about racing of any sort is the inevitable "We never broke one of those before". This ranks up there with the tree falling on Thirlby's (?) trailer at Depue a few years ago. At least Dave could easily fix this with racer's tape and make the race. How about a few pairs of deerskin driving gloves? It looks like this makes for a great story but really didn't break anything critical. Hope it didn't slow Dave down at all.

in several states where Road Kill deer may be kept, no tag needed. Your local auto accessories store has "Deer Season Extender" kits, otherwise known as a grille guard - Weston makes a good one.
