O.K. IN the best of all worlds the j crew would arrive on site 3 days prior to the race for set up and un sanctoned testing . Is this something that would be o.k. to do here? we will have the short bus so camping on site would be something we would need to do. ALSO any idea as to race course size and lay out. Ie.. Oval or figure 8
Thanks
Classes we will be bringing DSH DMR DMH CMR CMH CSH
Steve check out the 2007 photo album in the top left corner of the home pae. Click on 2007 Jessup album. You can see what the race coarse looks like. Check out John Pamquist in the 78-F FEH. Mike
Not speaking for Bob, but my understanding is no PRO classes, MOD primarily with some Stocks and likely all J classes, No OPC's or SLT's either
The course was talked about last fall and the suggestion was made to move it further back into the lake and away from the shore so it should be a fairly long run. (Steve J - the only classes running the figure 8 course will be DMH & FEH )
As for hotels typically the Days Inn, Ramada / Holiday Inn Express are the host hotels with the Jameson Inn also being located right next door to those 2. There are a few mom/pop type hotels in the area. Here is a link to the Chamber of Commerce http://www.waynechamber.com/lodging.htm
I have seen motorhomes/tents camped out in the pits, keep in mind this is about 30-40 miles in from the coast (due west of Brunswick, GA) so chances are it will still be chilly for us Southeasters but warmer for you Northern guys.
Good luck to all and see you in the spring!
