they will not be run at lakeland.You need to get on the horn and get your classes covered.This is why you dont have any races,no one wants to do anything.YOUR REGION NEEDS YOUR HELP KNOW SO GET OFF YOUR BUTTS.

I spoke with the CFRC regarding AXSH. They wanted to know IF CFRC added AXSH to the Lakeland sanction how many AXSH would show to run? The will be having their meeting later this week and will make an AXSH decision at that time. To get them on we would need a boat count of 5 or more.

Ideas… I don’t mean to judge anyone nor upset.
We are missing the idea on how to get attendance up. As far as the racers, yes we need to have more participates. Maybe combine some classes so everyone gets to race. Get someone interested and be able to test a boat. Start the races on time. Situations arise but when half the crew is still sleeping at 9:30 that’s a problem.
As far as the spectators they are not there for the races. Yes a few are but racing is only a form of entertainment, that’s all. My racing career is not long but I have been racing some form of boat for the last 7 years. The best races I have been at were run in conjunction with another event. i.e. car show, boat show, bikini contest (you will be surprised what $200 will bring for the winnings), concert, chili cook-off ect.
Lakeland needs something!! It’s not a bad town.
Advertise and sell the race. Put boats on display around town the week before the race. There are enough of us in town that can do that. Let the public know where and when.
These are just some suggestions; please… it is not intended to upset anyone.
