We will do our best to support the Lake Placid events with JH JR, AXSH, and AXSR. We just can't do it on Nov. 22-23. We will try to be at the next one though.

If it can happen on the 22/23 I'll be there with a CSH. I was almost ready to give up the ship with the lack of racing in region 5. It's almost impossible for me to make those long trips up north, those racers in regions 4 & 6 don't know how lucky they have it.

Before you go and get all worked up about not having races every weekend take a deep breath and relax. The "race" every weekend model has proven to be a failure and all though it sounds great most guys only average between 6 or eight races all summer long.

The secret is not quantity but quality! if you can stage 2 maybe even 3 good quality high end races in a region consider your self ahead of the game just throwing together races for the sake of racing has never worked.

                          not everyweek

racing 3 times in early spring makes for a boring year maybe if we can get some forfall/winter some racers with equipment in storeage might come out and its hard to get new guys to spend money for that sits more than it runs or to drive 12 to 20 hrs for aweekend then back to work mon .

ok sorry if i came on a little rude but 6-8 races are still low in terms of what everyone else is doing. its hard to chase for high points when guys are getting 10- 12 races and we are only doing 4-5 i know everyone has their part in the blame but all im trying to say is we need to get our stuff together and get something going tired of sitting and watching my equipment rot

As of right now the Lake Placid races are planned as AOF events. Three days of racing in two days. Carl is talking about a flat rate for the weekend. It won't help with the APBA points but it will still be a good time.

I am sure this topic will come up at the Region 5 meeting in two weeks. We have plenty of safety equipment in the region, plenty of racing equipment, and some good locations to hold events. One of the biggest hurdles seems to be the cost of the event followed closely by manpower.

We are willing to help in any way possible.
