Thanks for a great race guys!!! I only got to participate Sunday, but it was worth it. I can't wait for next time.
Congrats Ara for winning the 45's. Blair and David, thanks for making me work hard for 2nd. One thing about the 45 class is we all are real close speed wise and any one of us can win on any given raceday.
Thanks to Joe Phillips, Suzette Burkhardt and all those who put the event on.
I talked with the city after the race and every thing looks very good for next year. Count on it for the 3rd or fourth weekend in March.
The City is great and this is a great race site. Thanks again for every one that came to the race as participantas or spectators. Next year could be bigger and better than ever.
Bruce - perhaps you could write a brief letter on behalf of R5 that expresses how much the region enjoys the great hospitality from the City - and that includes the City Manager as well as the Mayor and City Commissioners who were present and very supportive. Also, the Parks and Rec Director deserves some credit for his staff and their contributions.
The guy taking the photos was a friend of Dean's. His name is Rob Schlocker. He took some outstanding shots and the prices will be very reasonable. I will get his contact info. and post it in the next couple days.
It is is a confirmed date with the City. Next years Chattahoochee Challenge will be the weekend of MARCH 21-22. We have some things in the works that will make it even bigger and better than this year. It is a long way off be we are going to start working on it soon. I will keep all advised of the developments.
