If Dr Rick Miller is willing to help out Hunt with his dental work, I am willing to help out also, Ill put in the first $ 50.00 for tickets for Hunt and Hilary to make the trip. (Jill send an address if you are willing to head up this fund). Shawn

Hi Guys-I had lunch with Hilary today. Hunt went through surgery for his jaw today. She did not get to talk to the surgeon but the good news is that they did not wire his jaw shut. When she got to the hospital at 5pm, his eyes were open and much clearer than in the past. She spoon fed him thickened juice which he seemed to enjoy. Yuck! He is still very confused. The nurse had been working with him telling him today's date but when Hilary asked him what day it was he said April 28th. I guess that day will stick with him for a long time! Anyway, there is progress, just ever so slow.
Hilary showed me a binder with all of the Hydroracer postings in it that her sister from Texas made up. She is so inspired by the out pooring of good wishes from the racing community. She and her family are keeping notes of everything that is going on so they can be sure Hunt knows about it when he gets better. She even took my picture today to show Hunt. From reading the last few posts it sounds like momentum is building to raise funds for Hunt. If you wish, you may send them to me and I will start an account with Hilary in a local bank. My address is: 13 Washington Way, Tabernacle, NJ 08088. Once the account is established, I will give you the address of the bank so you can send it directly if you wish. I will be leaving for Wilson, NC tomorrow evening so I will see some of you there. I promised Hilary I would check in with her on Monday and I will hopefully post some more good news then. Thank You so much Jill for keeping us all so well informed on Hunts recovery and his great news these past few days. I am sure it is your pleasure to such a great deed, but you should know, it is greatly appreciated in so many ways, by a lot of people. I get home from working at he bar, clean up, kiss my wife and son goodnight and go straight for the computer to check the 44Z thread.

Hunt's Race Equipment

Hunt's race equipment is now back in Wilmington, NC. Thanks so much to Dave Augustine, Jr. for bringing the trailer to Wilson, NC and to Craig Murden and Mark Shelton for making the trip to Wilson, NC to return Hunt's equipment to Wilmington. Craig will store Hunt's equipment as long as needed.
