              Update on Hunt Leavitt

I talked to Hilary this morning. There has been no change in his condition. The family is reading the posts and thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers. In the next day or two Hilary will be moving to an Extended Stay place. I will provide the address as soon as I get it. You may send your cards to me as she is having her mail forwarded to my house.

Dear Hunt, Hilary, and Leavitt Family,

Words don't come easy. Our family is with heavy heart right now thinking of you lying there in the hospital. We all wish we could take some of your pain. Please hang in there.

Hunt, you know what you mean to the Payn family. You are such a good friend We can remember the times that you would let Angie or Joel even win a race. With Brian you weren't so forgiving and you both had so much fun racing together.
There isn't more of a gentleman in boat racing than you, and you taught the kids so much and what they should be like when they grew up.
I remember the first email I received from you when I was the Executive Director of AOF back in the early 90's. You stuck with AOF and I don't think you missed a race. I even heard that you were at the Lake Placid last month. I believe you won just about anything you could win in your classes and AOF. One of the most important traits in a good human is loyalty. You eptomize the word loyalty. During a very hard time with AOF you proved your loyalty and your desire to keep things together. Your kindness and loyalty will always be appreciated. We are praying hard for your recovery.
If there is anything you need, please ask and it will be done1

Terry, Connie, Brian, Laura, Angie, Scott, Alyson, Joel, Riley, and now Brandon and Brianna.

                      Hunt and Hillary,
I can't stop thinking of you and I wouldn't if I could. I'm new to the sport and have never raced but I'm going too. Hunt I know you would want us all to carry on and we will with you in our hearts. You are a fine kind gentle man and we all know how much you love and have helped this sport over many years. Your wisdom money cant buy and your friendship can never be replaced. We pray for your speedy recovery.
If I can help in any way please call me. I will do whatever it takes to help you both in these trying times. God be with you.

                        Hunt and family...

I was really shocked and sad to hear this news last Sunday. So much that I didn't know what to say. I enjoyed getting to know you though the sale of my 20 rig and really hoped you would do well with it in your return to racing. Now I hope you will have a speedy full recovery. I wish you and your family the best in all the decisions you will be facing in the future.
                        In our thoughts and prays,

                          Hunt

                          Hi All,
I'm Lydia, Hunt's niece and I wanted to say thank you for all the posts and wishes for recovery. I've been searching the internet trying to get some information on what happened and I came across this site. It's been extremely tough to see Hunt like this considering that he's usually so vibrant and full of life. My whole family really appreciates your help and consideration-- we definately couldn't do this without everyone's support. Thanks again
                          Lydia

                              Thoughts and Prayers

                              To the Leavitt family,
Though we have never met I can tell from "racing stories" and the previous posts that you folks are a class act. We are so sorry to hear of your misfortune and we wish you nothing but the best! You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers!

                                Hunt Leavitt update

I just got off the phone with Hilary. A glimmer of good news...the doctor says if Hunt's blood pressure stays the same or improves over night they plan to do surgery tomorrow on Hunt's jaw. Hilary has moved to the Extended Care Condo's on Rt. 70, Cherry Hill, NJ . (I didn't get the individual unit number though) Hunt's parents have arrived and their daughter will be in over the weekend so she is receiving much needed family support. Unfortunately he is still in intensive care which severely limits visitation times. When I hear anything else I will post again. Jill Glossner
