No 2007 Denton Maryland Race
Per recent telephone conversation with fleet captain, no race at Denton, Maryland for 2007. They don't want to fork out the money and risk poor turnout by both boat racers and townspeople.
CVRA Members - the club needs a bigger equipment trailer, I asked you guys at last year's winter meeting to find one to buy, nobody did anything about it. So here's the deal - we need to buy a bigger one before the Wilson race (bigger than the 4x6 we currently have) or I'm not towing the equipment anymore. I have to load and unload too much equipment that won't fit in the trailer into my Explorer myself before and after each race. If you don't find a new trailer, someone else will need to come and pick up all of the equipment from my house, tow it to and from the races, and store it when not in use. Call me if you have any questions or find a trailer the club can buy - 703-816-4032 (day), 703-750-1778 (evening).Last edited by Janet; 01-23-2007, 06:08 PM.

I agree with Janet . . .
That trailer isn't large enough to cart all the gear. And it's a old rental trailer, built like a tank, and probably outweighs the cargo. Consumer trailers are a lot lighter. 6X10 might be good. Tape out a 6X10 on the garage floor and see if the stuff is a loose fit.carpetbagger

That later date will be good. The Cottonmouth's are much less grumpy in May than in April (when they have just woken-up and are hungry).David Weaver
