My earliest memories of Travis were at Camden, Denton, and Lock Haven, running around with Abby, two little tow-heads, racing J's. The picture that Abby posted is exactly how I remember them.
Mom and Dad are at Raleigh today and told me the news, and my heart fell. Gary and Marsha, I am so sad for your loss, I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. Take to your heart how very LOVED he was in the boat racing world. The earlier posts just show how well his spirit will always be with us at every race.
You're in our thoughts,

Got up with my kids who then lived in TN & AL at the race. One night a vicious thunderstorm rolled in. We're all sitting under a roofed picnic table with Travis, watching bolts of lightening shatter trees and such.
Travis: "Lightening is real close, and we're sitting under a metal roof." Then he grins that Travis grin and laughs.
Travis killed this deer on thanksgiving day, 2005. from what gary said, he was so proud of it. Travis's friend Wes had it stuffed and mounted a few weeks ago. It's bigger then one that gary has hanging in the living room!!!
