My prayers go out to Gary, Marsha, Aimie, Abby & Jimmy. If there's anything we can do, you know we're here for you. There's no way I can understand how you feel, but my prayers are with you. Anyone that's ever met Travis will never forget him. I've known him most of my life, and feel like I've lost an older brother.

We love you, and we'll never forget you man!

          Travis remembered

Strangely, this has always been my favorite photo of Travis and Greg. All day I couldn't get it out of my minf. They sat for several hours, in Camden on Friday, breaking in a motor. God only knows what they were talking about. Who knows, who cares, they were just enjoying one another as friends.

Gary, Marsha- You are in the thoughts & prayers of my family.

            Travis-
You always had a way of making me laugh & I will never forget when we would talk about hunting deer "Southern Style" & how both of us loved to hear those hounds run a deer. You will be missed by all buddy!

OUr deepest sympathy to Gary and family. We had the pleasure of meeting Travis last year at one of the Jesup, GA race. He was a very sweet and pleasant person. Great racer. He will be missed.

Although we only shared a couple of common races each season I really enjoyed talking to Travis whenever I saw him. It doesn't seem like that long ago that we pitted next to them at Lock Haven and he was racing J. Over the last few years I've had the pleasure to race against Travis in 20SSH and considered him not only one of the best drivers, but respected the way he drove as well. Just as I respected him on the race course I can say that he grew up to be a very polite and respected young man. Travis would always seek me out the first time we saw each other those 1 or 2 times a year to shake my hand and ask how things were going. He would also always make sure he said goodbye before we left the races for home to say "see you somewhere down the road" with a big smile on his face.

He will be missed both on and off the race course. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pond family in this very difficult time. May Travis rest in peace...see you down the road my friend.

My fondest memories of Travis was when he traveled to Wakefield with our family several years back. We rented a cabin at Black Jack and myself, my sister Teniell, my brother Brian, and Travis shared a room with 2 sets of bunk beds. It was like having another little brother around. He will be missed greatly.

To the Pond family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything.

                    Terrible Loss

Our Lord must have something very important for this young, energetic boy to do in order to take him at such a young age.

To the Pond Family: thank you for sharing Travis with all of us. May your grief be eased by the memories of such a fine young man.

Its so hard to believe that Travis is gone he was one of my best buds, ran my boats tested motors and props together many times. I loved him like another son and this is truely heart felt that he is gone. To Marsha and Gary my friends my heart goes out to you I love you both and feel your pain. I talked to Gary a couple hours ago and he asked me to post this for him. The services he thinks will be Thursday of this week but he will post the details for exact time and date. He also wanted me to tell everyone that his cell phone cant be found so any one wanting to contact him call his home phone number (804-794-8952) or Marsha's cell (804-402-6533). Rest in peace my friend, rest in peace and god bless.

                          Travis

Gary, Marsha and family - Our family is devastated with the sad news of your loss. I have always held Travis with high regard due to his wonderfully great friendly greetings at every race, his smile, his honest humor and his obvious love for the boat racing family. I'll never forget the joy in his face as we were dirt boat racing in Lockhaven. We will be there for you. Long Island is reeling with this terrible news.

                            Travis

As other have stated, while we only saw each other once or twice a year, when we did, he always greeted me with that hugh grin and a how ya been. In fact, I can't think of too many times that where that grin wasn't present. And I think that is how I will always remember him, with that big smile all over his face.

I can only say how sorry I am to the entire Pond family for their lost. Travis will be missed by more people than you can possible imagine. I don't think anyone who ever meet him, every forgot him. Our entire racing family and the world was richer for having him around, for even such a short time and are much poorer today.

After hearing this terrible news yesterday morning at driver's meeting, this is all we have thought about. We are all so sorry for your loss.
Travis was becoming the fine gentleman that his father is today and it hurts us terribly to have him leave us so early.
My sons looked up to him as a god and wanted to be just like him.
I could hardly motivate myself after driver's meeting to start working on our many rigs.
When I saw Alex Jennings loading one of his boats, I thought they were leaving. When I asked Alex, "he said no, Travis would want us to race".
Thank you Alex, that gave me the strength to go on.
My heart goes out to you Gary and to your family. May you have the strength to get through this and hopefully someday when you read these posts you will realize what a fine job of parenting you have done to raise such a man that will me missed so much by so many.

Dave and I drove the 175 miles home from Frostproof almost in silence, except for a few found memories of Travis, Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Pond family at a most difficult time like this. There are no words to express our deepest sympathy. Bill and Jane
