Region 4 races for 2006

I cant seem to get anyone to respond on this do we have any races planned I need to know before the meeting this weekend. I dont see any point in going if all we have to talk about is one race. I hate to be so harsh but no one seems to reply when I ask about region 4 races

I know I replied to this last time you posted it...at least I think I did. The USTS race in Raleigh will be Columbus Day weekend Oct 4,5,6. OSY 400 will be on the schedule if I get the same commiment as last year.

Thanks Kristi I know the USTS has its act together and will put on a great race but I was really looking for my local brothers to chime in. I guess if I keep it up I will be black listed for causing trouble

For any race in Region 4. Put it on AOF and we will pay for the sanciton and insurance for the week end?
Up to 4 week ends of racing free!

Region 4 races..............

Well Dan, I guess we both are scratching our heads wondering what's going on in Region 4. That's why I will be at the meeting Saturday. If you don't show up I guess you don't have anything to gripe about. That's why they have meetings, to inform people about any events, races, available race dates, what the club and its members want to do...........I can go on and on with this. I have to assume that Janet and others would rather take care of business in a meeting with club members rather than on the Internet for everyone to see. Many ideas and proposals that go into a meeting don't always come out the door when it's over.
I will have a donation check for hydroracer if you show up. I have emailed you on a few occasions for an address to send it to with no replies as of yet.

And that's all I have to say about that..............

At least one race in region 4

I received approval from the Wilson Parks and Rec. dept to hold a race
at Buckhorn resevoir on April 21,22,23. A few logistical concerns must be
addressed and approval from the Town council is left, but I feel confident
that we will get the site, and we will be hosting the 2006 Southeast
Divisional Championships there!!!! Hows that for ya Dan?!
On my way up to the Meeting Sat. I plan to stop there and take a few photos, and bring my printer to print them off for everyone to see.

I also am planning on an attempt to revive the race I had planned at
Marine Corps Air Station New River when Sept 11 attacks happened and
they locked down the base. This site could be better than Camden.

I also forwarded info to Chris Johnson about a contact near his home in
Greensboro that is interested in helping bring racing to some area lakes
that also have been hosting Drag boat Racing.
So lots of things are in the air, and I was waiting to hear from Janet and the
Augustines on Denton, and from George regarding Sharptown.
If we are all successfull we could be talking about 6 possible races in region
4 including USTS race in Raleigh.
Hope this peaks enough interest for you now to attend the meeting
Meanwhile I continue to develop my Signal Robot, I intend to bring the current model to the meeting to bring everyone there up to speed on its
progress.

Buckhorn in now over 2300 acres of water. That pic is outdated. It doesn't
even show the boat ramp.
Lots of potential here, I need to get the town pumped up to have us here
every year.

That picture according to the web site was from 1999 when the dam was completted so I assume it has changed. It took awhile just to find that one as there seems to be non posted anywhere. Sorry it wasnt up to date
