Here are a few updates regarding the Travis Pond Memorial Regatta - as of 5/26
1. SATURDAY MORNING OPENING CEREMONY.
Registration: 7:30-8:30am - Opening Ceremony: 9:00am - Drivers Meeting immediately after ceremony - First Heat Racing: 10:30am
The Hinton Color Guard will be on hand for the Presentation of the Colors, and Miss West Virginia is scheduled this year to sing the National Anthem for the Opening Ceremonies.
2. DINNER.
The awards dinner for Saturday night will be held at the Willow Wood Country Club. A nice little place that sits on the Greenbriar River that will be having our dinner in a large dining room with a full-service bar located on the other side of the building.
The dinner menu will include a choice between spaghetti or chicken.
The sides will be potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad, with tea, coffee and a dessert.
Cost: $12.00/adult - $10.00/children (under 10)
Time: 8:30pm Saturday night
Tickets to be sold during Friday afternoon registration and Saturday morning registration only
3. RV PIT STORAGE.
I checked again with the committee this year and the policy for the Pit Area is RV's are allowed to park in the Pit Area in certain designated places, but no one is allowed to stay in the pits over night, this was the policy from last year.
4. FOOD.
There is a new La Bamba mexican restaurant that has recently opened in Hinton, located on Route 20 up from the DQ and Sandman Hotel.
