Update on J Classes at Evans

Please note that Mel Thomas has confirmed with the DNR that kids between the ages of 12 and 15 WILL be able to race at Evans provided that they have documentation verifying that they have passed an approved boater safety course in the state in which they reside. We will be working with APBA to get the sanction amended.

It should also be noted that Herb Lanphear has been in contact with Senator Butch Miller who wrote the legislation on the boater safety laws. He is working to try and get an executive order passed so that kids between the ages of 9 and 12 will be able to race is well. This may not happen in time for the Evans race, but he is definitely working to get it passed.

Just a reminder to please send pre-registration by June 19 to Aimie Pond - aimiep19@gmail.com. We will have testing on Friday from 1-6pm. There will be 3 days of racing in 2 days. There will also be a FREE Italian dinner in the pits on Saturday night for all racers, crew, and family.

I know not many people have posted but I have talked to several people that are coming, It will be a good showing as was last year, I look forward to going! have my camp site reserved and cooler full. i will be running 500mh and 750mh and anything else if people need a driver or have a spare ride! see you all there!
