About 5 hours from me, and pretty country. Course Marion was the scene where I scored 80+ on the speed-o-meter operated by the local smokies back in the `60s when I was traveled from my college north of Asheville to Hickory where the gf lived. Yeeps! That put a dent in my chicks/beer/fuel budget.

Easy access off I-40, so racers from various compass points could haul tail over interstates for this trip.

just takes a call and maybe a face to face to see if they are interested. someone needs to do that. john howard and i will be talking with the denton, md town council to see if we can get denton back on the schedule. took a few calls and we are now on the aganda for their meeting.

I want to get back on the water , would love to see more n.c races...need a boat , lifejacket xl and helmet , ive got the rest ! Getting hit by a car several years ago has took its toll , but I miss it !
