The town of Colonial Beach left no stone unturned as it gave the contestants, their crews, print and television media outlets and the public the red carpet treatment. Among the festivities featured was the “Kick-Off Party” held at the Town Stage Area and after race parties given at the Riverboat and High Tides Restaurant.

Colonial Beach and Westmoreland County are very pleased to be in partnership with the APBA to bring these typesof quality events to our region”, said Carey Geddes, President of the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce. The festivities start on Friday where there will be a Kick-Off party with live music on the outdoor town stage right next to the host hotel and where everyone will be set-up/camping for the event. This party will be open to all contestants, their crews, the media, and the public. It would be a great time to have the racers and everyone else involved to mingle, relax and enjoy an evening of music. The party will start at 5pm and go until 10pm. There will be beer, wine and food available and the band Old School will be performing live, and they play Classic Rock, New Rock, Pop, Blues and Country. There will be great racing and special parties planned for the participants and crews all weekend long.
