Still can't find a motel that will let my dog in. Campground is booked with scouts. Hope there is room in the pits.

Russ,
There should be plenty of room in the pits for you to camp out.
Schedules are printed and ready to go, they are printed as published earlier in the thread. Be thinking of which set or sets you can do patrol boat duty in if you haven't already done so.444-B now 4-F

Just got off the phone with Allen, the caretaker at Tabor Lake he said the water has been slick the whole week. The forecast is for good weather thru the weekend. Come on down or up for a good weekend of short course racing. Harris Willard is catering the Saturday night party. Should be some good food. CVRA needs every boat we can get to keep this race site. If we have a poor turn out this race will probably be Dunn, no pun intended. Thanks in advance, Steve/ broke all to pieces 10-Z

Tabor
Come Folks ,we don't want to lose this site. We need R 5 and R3 support. If we lose this site we can only blame the racers. in my 50 years of racing, i have been to too many last race at this site races, it does not feel good to know this will be the last race you will go to at a site.I know we can get more racers to come support this race. I know most people are short on money, so am i with Jesup only two weeks away, but lets do the best we can to save Tabor City.

Last Chance
Ok, guys and gals, it's Thursday night. Last call for e-mailing me your entry blanks! I'll probably be up late packing among a million other things I need to do. I've printed all the entry blanks I've received so far. I will check my e-mail before I go to sleep tonight around 2 a.m. and then I'll be on the road. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and/or Saturday. I've attached the entry blank on more time in case anyone missed it. Let's go racing boys!Attached Files"I wanna go fast!!!"

We left the pits early afternoon Friday and it was filling up. Beautiful site with great ramps.
The Rock was pit boss yesterday.
A few teams made the trip from Florida.
We will try to post some stuff tonight after the races.
15 hours to make a 9 hour drive, 3 new tires, 2 new wheels, changing tires on the roadside.....You gotta love this game!_____________________________________________

It is 5:45 Monday morning and we just got home. The only pictures we have are pit shots. Amy may post them later. The only results I know are as follows....
Amy Waterson 2nd & 3rd JR, 4th JH
Joe Waterson 3rd JH, 3rd AXR
Abby Pond 1st ASH Sunday
Jerry Davids won several
Matt Dagostino won about everything he touched
George Stillwill won several classes
Becky Nichols won several classes
Tim Webber swept CSR Sunday
Walker/Harrel won 25R Saturday
We killed 2 out of 3 of our OMC's and 1 gear case.
Amy's Racecraft started sinking at the ramp after the 2nd heat of JH Saturday. I'll have to see if we have an extra J hydro in the shed.
Thanks to the crew who put this race on.
Abby and Aimie,...Your Dad should be more than pleased at how you two grabbed the ball and kept running! Our prayers are with the Pond family!Last edited by aojesus; 05-17-2010, 10:29 AM._____________________________________________

Great Weather................
Taber City (near Myrtle Beach, SC) did not disapoint with 90 degrees and sun all weekend! The pig pickin was also great Saturday night!
Nice to see Gary Romberg and grandson getting ready for the J Class wars and several Florida crews up for the weekend. Our club is thin but we put together a nice race weekend thanks to all the hard work of CVRA members.
Taber City is the Bristol of Outboard racing. Short course racing at it's best.
We missed you TROY...........hope you got all the mulching done!
