Planning on heading to this race... do people normally camp in pits, motel/hotel? Food on site during day? Dinner/pot luck/party on site Sat night? Bonfire? Any issues showing up on Thursday night? Any details appreciated.

We have camping - Just outside the pits - toilets and sink in rest rooms - Food Sat and Sunday in pits -- Dinner Sat night at Club house - Store and Gas 1/2 mile from pits - No problem on Thursday arrivals- no open fires - there are BBQ grills - bring cups for beverages (!!!) No pets in pits -( outside pit gates OK )

Very nice camping situation - as for the open fires - you got the official response which of course is the truth but last year I seem to remember a nice late night "BBQ" hosted by Manny and "Gomez" with great conversation
