        Food Pantry

        Thanks for the reminder Wayne.............

SSOA has worked closely with the Kingston Food Pantry over the past five years and the Town is most appreciative of our donations. We have been listed in the Annual Town Report over the past several years as major contributors to the Food Pantry.

You will receive $ 5.00 off of your first entry with the donation of three or more canned goods or paper products. Toothpaste,, soap etc. are also welcomed donations.

Once again the South Shore Outboard crew pulled out all the stops for a fantastic weekend of racing in Kingston, New Hampshire.

The racing was great but it was also the involvement with the Community that gets us invited back each year. Miss Kingston was on hand to sing the National Anthem on Saturday, the local Boy Scout Troop acted as color guard for the opening ceremonies on Sunday, fantastic pot luck supper that filled every seat in the Mason Building which is literally located in the pits, and boxes and boxes of food donations to the Kingston Food Pantry. In addition, the Kingston Children's Center benefited from the proceeds of a program book and the concessions.

The real show stopper was the Baptizing of five individuals in the Pond on Sunday AM by the Church located adjacent to the pits. The Minister performing the ceremony took time out to thank the "Boat Racers" for us allowing them to use our pit area along the beach for the ceremony!

Eleven class program, three days in two, in excess of $1500 in merchandise awarded for Saturdays event, off the water at 3:50pm Sunday and the race turned a positive cash flow.

                Results to follow...........

Despite not getting on plane for the second heat of Sundays J race David and the rest of his family had a wonderful time at the Kingston event. It ran very smoothly and right on time. Truly a testament to all the hard work that was put in from Steve and the rest of the SSOA gang. Can't wait till next race.

                    Dave
