          fuel for Standish

          Manny
ALL pump gas in Maine is 10% ethanol same as most everywhere now.

At one time Alex was bringing extra av gas, can't say about this season.

Limington - Harmon Regional Airport is about 5 miles from race site.

          Don't laugh.....it's borrowed!!

            getting to standish

Billy, You can get to Watchic Pond in Standish a lot of diffrent ways.
I495N flows into I95N in Salsibury, MA; just follow the signs for Portsmouth and Portland. Once on I95N you can proceed NW from just about any exit from Biddeford to Westbrook. Choosing Westbrook is very slow going at first, but has the advantage of taking you directly to Rte ME 25, which takes you right to the pond about 3-mi beyond Standish downtown. If you have a ME map, taking the Scarborough exit and working your way over to Rte 25 via Rte 112 is quicker. Perhaps the best way is to use mapquest, google maps or your GPS, using "Watchic Road 4, Standish, ME" as the destination. Watch for the Blue Kawanis Beach sign on your right. This is on the south side of the pond. If you use "Watchic Road" without the "4" it'll take you to the wrong beach.

              Great race at Standish 2013

Congrats to Shawn and his merry band of volunteers for another
successful race. The weather held off and we finished early.
SSOA races are the best. This should be on everyone's schedule.

Just wanted to thank the guys and gals at SSOA for making this past weekend a success for my son and I. With patience and anxiety, we were able to get him on plane and successfully complete two full heats to secure a second place position, all in his first JH race weekend. Thanks again and look forward to many more fun boating days. Dave
