  • Milton Nh - TOHATSU FOUND !!!!

From the depths of Town House Pond in Milton, NH, the lost Tohatsu has risen.

After unsuccessful attempts by two marine salvage divers, the trio of Alan Akerstrom, Alex Poliakoff and Steve Noury, meticulously dragged the bottom of the lake for six straight hours. Their efforts paid hugh dividends as Akerstrom hooked the big one in over 26 feet of water as darkness approached. Hooking the engine and landing it were two different stories. To pull it out of three feet of silt, Poliakoff used the winch on the SSOA rescue boat to bring the engine to the surface. Much to our surprise, the engine cowl, propeller, transom, and dashboard with steering wheel and hydraulic lines were all intact.

Upon reaching the far shore, homeowners were in disbelief that we actually landed the engine. One homeowner asked Alan if he could find a boat they had lost several years ago.

You can view the race on the photo section of www.southshoreoutboard.com

    Thanks to all ..........

    Congrats Steve,

As always the SSOA crew comes through! Glad to hear you will be back in action, and more importantly that you are OK. Thanks again for the great weekend.

PS Does these mean you didn't win the $50?

How long has there been a wench on the rescue boat? Or did you mean wInch? hope all is well.
Duly noted and corrected! All is well now, see you and Mia at Taunton?

both of these drivers were OK. Notice the 102 sitting in the cockpit of the first boat. Both these happened that weekend. The second boat is the one from the video (the one who lost its tohatsu).

                          Check the six post here:

The driver was OK - he's tough!

The boat was "the Mad Russian" ... the Rent-A-Dee owned by the Mad Russian and driven by the now famous Streve Noury of 31A fame who was in the process of chasing The Mad Russian hissef driving "Staggerlee" 8A. Both O'Connor hydros.
