    Castagnato......................

Larry looked a tad like John Yale in that shot. I imagine the painful look on Rosado's face is due to the elbow Clark no doubt served up as the camera went off!!

Hope the ole 'Saddle' will be served up to some poor soul as it has been for 40 plus years!!

Alan - Giles will not only be wearing the same sportcoat, he still has the same barber and will be getting his hair trimmed for the big event.

Kegs - the cameras will be clicking, not only for a repose of that photo, but of all of the former members.

Matt - Lot's of competition for the Saddle this year, could it be a newcomer or a repeat winner?

      About that photo -

That group collectively had 30 National Championships, 56 national High Point Championships and 11 Gulf Marine hall of Fame and Hall of Champion inductions. Amazingly, almost 80% of those honors were attained after that photo was taken!! Who knew..........

                Wow!!!

One of the best South Shore Outboard events in many, many years. The Alumni group was out in full force and most of them stayed awake until the end. Archived photo's and news articles filled the room along with priceless memories being relived.

Full recap coming soon along with the evenings photo's by Paul Luippold and Twisted Sista.

To see who was the big winner of the evening, go to the front page of the SSOA website www.southshoreoutboard.com

Csatagneto, Neely, Nichols, Molloy, Cote, Reynolds, Bianchini, Humphrey, Crowley, Babcock, Fitts (2), Girard, Bailey, Thompson, Fortier, Allen, Giles, McCabe, Hall, and probably a few we will remember in the recap post!

The first thing I would say myself is, WOW! Steve did a fantastic job all evening at the podium, as well as all the work

involved in organizing the affair. Harriet Thompson is also thanked greatly for all of her work duing the evening AND for

all she does during the season, This was quite a gathering, The Hall was packed and yes, there were even a few wearing ties.

I think there was over 150 people.

Well, Matt, had you attended you could have been in the group photo for The Saddle winners as we all joined 2 year in a row

winner Mike W Schmidt !!! The orignal Saddle was present, but, as there's no room for signatures, the second one sits along

side for the future winners. The first winner, Larry Castegneto, as well as winners from the "pre Kevlar" generations were

all on stage for the presentation And Photos.

The awards were also very nice. All attendees recieved a nice 60th anniversary coffee mug. Dust33 had posted the pic in

earlier post. The throphy awards gang did seem to need glasses to read the names however, not sure if it was because of

lighting or eyesight? Biggest hardware winner of the evening was John Wlodarski, Did he need a trailer to haul them all

                        home?!

The program handed out was excellant, I would post it here when i get it scanned, unless someone else plans to? Anybody plan

                        to post it?

There were easels (made by Steve also), on which were many many newspaper clippings involving members from the "shore". Racer

Allen and fellow Hall of Fame member, Doug Bailey,(JSR,CSR,DSH,DSR.), provided their memoribilia from their championship

                        days.
As far as pics, well, Paul Luippold was quite busy with all of the action. AND Lulu was busy as well, they will post soon I

imagine. Will finish scanning the program, But will wait to see if anyone else was going to post it.
                        Don't laugh.....it's borrowed!!
