Hi Pete. I was wondering if you could tell me what brand of lower unit you are running on your 500 Runabout? I am looking at a new unit for mine and I am not sure what brand to go with. I have looked at the new Komato quite a bit, but I am not sure it is quite worth the money they are asking for it. I know I need a big gear unit, but I am not sure that the Konny or Rossi wouldn't do the same job as the Komato for less money. How well are your gears holding up? What kind of life are you getting out of them? Can you give me any info or your thoughts?
