102 vs 302
There are 2 motors legal in CSH, the Yamato 102 and the Yamato 302. The 102 has been the dominant motor for 20+ years. Unfortunately, it is getting hard to find some parts and keep these older motors running. The 302 is currently available and has no parts problems.
Also, the Stock Outboard Racing Commission has stated they will be making gradual spec changes to the 302 to make them more competitve and become the dominant motor.
Last year a 302 won the CSH National Championship for the first time.
Alot of people have read the writing on the wall and are selling their 102's and buying 302's.
I dont want to see a new racer get burned by buying sub-par equipment represented as top shelf and I understand you have allready had one bad experience
