You have a great boat there in amazing original condition. The problem with most antique outboard guys is that they are very cheap so don't jump on the first offer or lowball offers. The new owner that is willing to pay a fair price is out there.
I would think that to the right guy that boat should be in the $2500 range. If the engine turns over and is a reasonable restoration candidate, in the $1500-$1800 range. The faceplate doesn't have the "H" printed on it which drops the value just a bit. The powerhead is the same, but the actual factory race engines said Mark 40 H.
I used to do antique boat restoration full time and spent many years travelling the eastern US messing with this stuff.
