Shoulder is shot, Fresh Y-80, Prop and Hardware for sale.
So the results of my MRI show a full thickness tear of my right shoulder rotator cuff. A partial upper bicep tendon tear and torn cartilage. So it looks like I will be out for 2021 altogether Covid or not. At this point I just give up. At least I got to go out on a test permit. Thanks Frank. Good advice but I do keep my engine in the basement during the winter. Even so this couldn't hurt and will help me get acquainted with the mechanics of it. Looking forward to seeing you in 2021.

Y-80 lower unit maintenance.
OK so I have zero experience with outboards.....there, I admitted it. Expert advice needed on any lower unit maintenance I should be doing over the winter to be ready for the 2021 season. Actually any Y-80 maintenance at all would be great. Thank you in advance.

I'm really encouraged that Physical Therapy is a viable option. Surgery is not on my all time hit list....

I have to admit, lifting and moving my Y-80 is difficult. My right arm has very little strength because of the shoulder and I know after lifting it I am going to feel the consequences of my actions. Kind of humiliating watching 100 pound women lifting and positioning engines with ease and then going...

Anyone else have shoulder pain.
So as I age I have noticed that I am falling apart. I have had shoulder pain since a skateboarding accident back in 2007 or 08. It felt like a broke my arm in several places. Went to the ER and found I had zero broken bones but I possibly tore my rotator cuff. A few years later I managed to fall off...
