I'm letting our racing community of region 10 know of the circumstances partaining to Jim Williams. He went into the hospital last Monday and had emergency surgery early Tuesday morning for something to do with a strangulated small intestine. He will be out of commission for the next several weeks to maybe as long as a couple of months. I'm reluctant to say anymore until I have the OK to share more from his family.
I do have this request, I would like to know who might offer up a saturday to help with some stuff that needs to be done on their place. I have not OK'ed this with the family yet, I'm just looking to see who might be available for some house painting and wood cutting and splitting? My email address is mrbill@ipns.com anyone who might want to help one of the sports neatest personalities out, email me and maybe we can make a small dent in a bunch of work that Jim won't be able to do in time before the bad weather hits.
I kinda wanna keep this on the QT for obvious reasons for now, until I know more, it would be kinda neat to show up with a small group of guys-n-gals to do those needful things on a weekend. If you could and want to help, email me with a date that works for you and I'll see what maps out and let ya all know.
Thanks for reading, if those who are of the praying kind, please lift Jim and his family up tonight. There is no problem to great to overcome when God is involved!

UPDATE:
I got back from the hospital just a couple of hours ago. Jim is in much pain as to be expected after going through this kind of surgery. I told him I made a post on hydroracer and he's not real happy with me over it, but I feel he has a great group of friends who would want to know. If I had my choice, I would want him upset with me and many more knees hitting the floor in prayer for him. Please add his mom to your prayers as he found out that she is now in a Portland hospital! I know not of her condition at this time. Jim is struggling with this as he too wants to be with his mom. When you hit your knees tonight, ask God to love Jim and his family.
Thanks again for reading
I went up yesterday (Sunday) to check up on Jim and he was doing much better! He was in better spirits too because he got word on his mom. Both of these great friends were knocking on death's door jjust a few days ago and they are both doing fantastic! I just want to say "THANKS" for all who hit their knees on Jim's behalf. I was about to leave and Jim needed to go for his walk, so I said I would walk with him, while he was leaning on the metal rack that holds the I.V.'s and moving very slowly, he asked me if I could picture him walking out to his shop like this? That's when I told I could then truly appreciate a mercy killing! I thought the poor man was gonna die laughing. Jim, you truly are one in a million! Hopefully, this Tuesday, he will be able to get home.
Final update on Jim, and a request:
I just got back from Jim's home, yup, he's now home! I must apologize for not mentioning his mom, but she too is doing much better, she's still in ICU but is breathing on her own now as I understand? This was a close call for both of them! Jim is going to be in for a fairly lengthy recovery so my request is hoping I can call on a few region 10 members to find a Saturday that might fit and we get up to his place to first and formost do some painting and then, if the work crew is large enough, work on that wood pile too. I'd like to try to plan for maybe the 12th or the 19th? Going into October we could maybe look at the 3rd, 17th and the 24th could also work. I'd like to see who might be willing to step up and the date that gets picked the most will be the date and I will let all know here. Jim is one of those people who'd give a kidney to a perfect stranger, so if he ever called you a friend, you have a great one in him!
Thanks so much for reading!
