  • Usts hartford ct. Labor day weekend

Lets all support our season ending USTS event in Hartford Ct. Labor Day Weekend. This is the USTS first trip to Hartford, and the city is very excited about the event. Many activities will be taking place over the weekend, and Pat Wright has worked hard to make this a first class event. Also TOW MONEY WILL be given, so please pre-register at ustitleseries, org. as soon as possible to make it easier figuring the tow money amounts. Lets give the city of Hartford a great show. See you there.

    Usts

Even though this race is the same weekend as the traditional Lock Haven, I still wish the USTS the best of luck for a good show on Labor Day Wweekend.

      Hartford

Already have my trailer 40 miles away. The place is great, nicest place to race I have seen in this country. If I can drive from Texas, others can come from closer places, love the place. To race in downtown in a capital city is what we should all want, we got it here. Hope to see ya.

When booking a motel mention USTS and you will get a discount from the motels that are on the USTS webb site.
Directions are also o the site click on Great River Park---other directions are to the amp-theater on the opposite side. Guys I raced in Lock Haven in the seventies great place. But Pro's also need a premier race and Hartford will be one. This is going to be a hugh event and only the weather can hurt us.

To view more on the USTS hartford race, go to USTS site and click on the hartford date.. Scroll down and enjoy the site that Charlie Myers of Riverfront Recapture placed for all of us to read.
Charlie flew down to the USTS opener at Ocoee and fell in love with the US Title Series. He did not get to see the 500 700 1100's run.
Our numbers were down (60) boats but our speed and sound as well as our sense of family and professionalism is exactly what he is looking for.

We have tow money and the promise of a great future with Riverfront Recapture

Is Hurricane Earl going to have an effect on this race? I see it is due or projected to hit that area on Friday.

              Hurricanes

Jim, Living in Florida I deal with Hurricanes frequently. You have to look at the cone. It shows it just touching land on Friday if it stays all the way to the left of the cone. IF it stays to the right side of the cone, it would miss by 400 miles. It should be long gone by noon Saturday.

Thanks Tim. Just curious. Those of us here in the Midwest don't have to deal with these things much so I didn't know much about it. Thanks for the info. Good luck racing!

Have 60 regeistered for hartford--Constantine had 85 all things considered
we will be fine with numbers . You always going to get more boats at a race in the midwest-maybe Hartford will have a few more than Ocoee and the race sponsor was very happy with Ocoee.

I raced stocks in Hartford in the 60s. A great site. Not to be missed.

                      Hartford

Raced at Hartford 1963 on the way to the Boston Nationals...B S H...Bill Giles said to look out for the out-flow waters on the west bank, well we did, Bill, Myself and ,I think Bruce Herd all blew over..Took the canvas deck off the Sid, Borrowed the 34-J or 32-J of Pappy Stillwell's qualified and finished 5th or 6th...WATCH THE OUT- FLOW west bank, if its still there.

No, Its actually down river a little from the old race site. We raced Stock and Mod there in 88/89 and it was not a bad place to race. Should be a great race

I live about 30-40 minutes away and the media coverage was already on the radio while on my way up to Haverhill this past weekend. This race should draw a great spectator crowd.

As of 6 am wenesday there is going to be some rain on the eastern tip of Long Island Friday, The city of hartford is way north and west of the tip of long island, so any effects from Earl should be minimal friday with no effects saturday or Sunday. The city of Hartford started preperations tuesday and according to Charlie Myer are continuing on schedule and they have alot of preperations to preform, load you trailer and head north east. Last chance for some USTS fun this season.
