Lake DePue update

Here is the most recent article concerning the clean up of Lake DePue. There are alot of people pushing to speed up the process of cleaning up the entire Superfund site , but in every article that appears in the local press they refer to the timeline set up by the EPA and the " DePue Group - EExonMobil and CBS\Viacom ". If I am not mistaken EExonMobil still has not paid for the clean-up caused by the EExon Valdez oil spill in Alaska and that was around 15-20 years ago. One of the arguement is that they are not responsible for the silting in of Lake DePue , while village officials argue that while they are not responsible for the silting in of Lake DePue they are responsible for the contamination of the silt in Lake DePue.

On a personal note , keep Eric Bryant , DePue mayor and Mens Club Vice President , in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his treatment for prostrate cancer.
