  • mark 25 help

Just purchased a 1955 Mercury Mark 25 that was locked up (EBay). Appears to have been in fresh water use, no piting.
Problem is that when I removed the plugs the lower cylinder was full of water. I have removed the power head and the block and crank housing do not appear to be cracked or to have every been run hot. (Paint is still good on the block)
Question: Is it possible to get the pistons out and the block seperated into the cylinder and crank shaft housings or is this just a throw away? Can these engines be bored? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also anyone know where I can look for a good power head or send this to someone for repair? (I have filled the cylinders with nut buster but it's really locked up.)
