stick tower

on what a home made stick tower
on the mark 55h that i am putting
together.
i bought the tower,
have attached
the power head and gear foot
MY Q.
is the is there suppose to be a copper
water tube inside tower to allow water to carry
from foot to power head ?
this tower has two pipes the main one for the drive shaft
and smaller one for water to come from gear case to powerhead
should there be a coppertube inside this one or is not
needed?
